Q. Please brief us about company’s Indian & global infrastructure?
Rishabh Instruments manufacturing location includes Nasik and Mumbai in India and Zielona Gora in Poland. We have made Investments of more than Rs. 100 Cr on plant and machinery equipments spread over 100,000 sq. m. of land. In 2010 we built a state of the art R&D . We also have a new office located in Atlanta – Georgia, USA. Our Quality Assurance lab in Nasik is equipped with highly accurate standards for calibration and testing equipments The company has a fully equipped NABL accredited laboratory. Given the importance of sales and promotion, we have strengthened the team with highly experienced people at all levels
Q. Please also highlight the latest initiatives in your industry domain?
Based on Industry’s Mission 2022, few important highlights are:-
- Upgrading Technology to meet Future Requirements like investing in research & development (R&D) & upgrading testing facilities.
- Enhancement of Industry Competitiveness by improving quality of products & labour productivity.
- Under Sector Skill initiative, Industry is working closely with the Government of India to develop a strong base of skilled manpower to help the Indian electrical industry to go to the higher level and become globally competitive. Reviewing curriculum for engineering and diploma courses & Industry-Institute interaction are a few such steps.
- Exporting of Electrical Equipment – Identifying & targeting newer untapped markets and increase exports to emerging markets.
Q. What are the market opportunities for your company’s products in India?
We have products ranges covering Test & Measuring Instruments as well as Industrial controls products. Our product basket includes a wide range of products with numerous unique features, unrivaled in India market. We take pride that these products are durable, designed indigenously & built for Indian environment. All our products conform to the international quality standards. Adopting philosophy “Prices are negotiable, but Quality and features are not”. Applications can be found in electrical engineering design, inspection, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and any application requiring electrical servicing and diagnostic testing. Major industries in which our products find applications are Maintenance Department of every Industry, Independent Electrical Contract Works, Electrical & Electronic engineering, chemical, petrochemical as well as oil & gas industries, Mining, Process Industry, Automation, Power & Distribution, Energy & Conservation, Radio & Television engineering, Digital Technology, Educational, Defense, Indian Railways, Hotels, and Utilities but not limited to these only.

Q. What is future prospect for your industry?
We believe that with swift economic and industrial growth is set to increase the energy consumption. Energy-intensive industries & rail- road infrastructure of the tier I and tier II cities, have been rapidly growing for the last three to five years and this trend is likely to continue. Power generation is still lagging the demand but should catch up to fulfill the shortage that we presently have. Various end-user segments are witnessing increased awareness of energy efficiency, energy conservation, power quality and a shift in requirements from product base to solution base. As an international player, we see more & more emerging technologies, new R&D breakthroughs, booming economies & growing market in coming years.
Q. Is there any plans for expansion & new investment in terms of product development or new technology adoption to cater the demand of the industry?
Rishabh is a R&D focused organization. Other than modernizing and improving our present basket of products, we have internal goals to add one new product basket each year to the existing range. Hence we are mixing traditional products with modern products/technologies such as instruments to measure Solar Parameters or improve power quality where we will see a big growth in Domestic market. After LUMEL S.A. we acquired the SIFAM & TINSLEY brands which have a very high reputation in UK and help us to penetrate a new segment. We make five year rolling plans to give our growth a particular direction proposed on the basis of market requirement.

Q. What is the top line product range & Is there any plans to launch new products?
Over the years we have introduced many quality products in Indian markets which are known for their robustness, precision and safety features. We have launched next generation multimeters, in November 2013, which have received very good response from the market. Our ambitious and aggressive plan to increase our market share in the T&M as well as ICP sphere is fueled by expansion of our current line of products and diversification into new product ranges. We will soon be introducing power quality clamp meter & advanced multimeters offering unique value propositions to our customers.
Q. What is your vision for your company?
We want to be the organization that always exceeds customer expectation in products, in technology and in service with constant process improvement and market feedback. We are going big way to increase our presence in the Global marketplace with added manpower & technology integration .
For Example :
Rishabh Instruments export by and large covers up for the entire globe, however current market of concentration is Latin America & Middle East. We are currently looking at opening support offices in Latin America, western & Eastern Europe & Middle East. As the market is going towards non-conventional energy, we are looking at applying this form of energy in our product offerings.
